Snackin’ Place 3D Print

This statue was one of my absolute favorites in Disneyland. The beauty in a sign crafted for a churro and lemonade stand is what made Disneyland so special. Critter Country was home to so many wonderful wooden sculptures that enthralled me since I was a kid. With the removal of Splash Mountain, I decided to take a lot of photos and remake some of these wonderful artworks for myself.

This was my very first model that I printed using resin. I had bought a printer for cheap on Facebook Marketplace and was eager to put it to work. Since the buildplate was meant for miniatures, I wasn’t able to scale up until about a year later. When I did make future prints of this model, I really got to have fun adding detail within the painting process. I absolutely love dry brushing and emulating wooden carvings. The bigger the model got, the more detail I could add.

I had to be mindful of the scale of this model in the beginning (less than 4”) so that meant having to scale back on some of the signs flimsier parts (Peckish? sign). One day I may go back and do a complete rendering now that I have the capability of scaling up.
