Chowder Hut Crab Statue

In 2024, I was commissioned by Boudin Bakery to create a 3D model of a crab for their restaurant on Fisherman’s Wharf.

I started by designing a simple concept for Boudin’s approval. This served not only as a visual reference but also as a roadmap to ensure the crab would be modeled correctly for the manufacturer, Impressive Sign and Display, to print and paint. Once the model was sculpted in ZBrush, I created a detailed color callout to ensure the final paint matched both the restaurant’s branding and my vision for the crab.

The crab, which I affectionately named Linus during his creation, debuted on the wharf in November of 2024.
